The 8th annual Insuring the Children Insurance Industry Forum will take place on June 12 in Anaheim. This year’s theme will be “Issues and Opportunities Facing the Insurance Industry, the Candidates’ View.”
Insurance Commissioner candidates Gary Mendoza (Republican) and John Garamendi (Democratic) will be keynote speakers.
Bob Mike from the Workers’ Compensation Institute Ratings Bureau will also speak. Ben Zyker of the Rand Institute will moderate the event. In addition to the speaker presentations, the current California homeowners’ crisis will also be discussed.
“We have a goal to raise $100,000 in 2002 and this is the first step,” chairman Peter Wallick of The Hartford said. “We encourage both life & health and property & casualty agents to take this opportunity to network and learn, while supporting this very worthwhile and important cause.”
The forum will be held at the California Grand Hotel. Cost is $100 per attendee. Continental breakfast is available; registration/networking begins at 8 a.m., and the event will open at 8:30 a.m. and conclude before noon.
Any company or individual interested in donating funds, product or time can call Wallick at (714) 674-1202 or e-mail him at PETER.WALLICK@thehartford.com.
