OneBeacon Insurance Group has expanded the deployment of the ActivePhoto Mobile Imaging Solution from the initial states of Massachusetts and Connecticut to its New Jersey, New York, and Maine offices.
California-based ActivePhoto, a provider of wireless imaging and data solutions for businesses, enables OneBeacon to streamline claims processing by helping its field claims staff avoid administrative hassles such as photo developing, sorting, data entry, labeling or copying.
The system allows field claims staff to enter contextual information such as the claim number into the Ricoh RDC-i700 digital camera and send those images from the camera to an online storage account using either a wireless modem or a standard telephone jack. Once transmitted to Active Photo’s secure Web site, the pictures can be viewed, annotated, or downloaded and integrated into claims reports or estimates.
