Water intrusion/mold prevention and credit scoring are two of the topics to be examined at the 2002 Annual Insurance Symposium, sponsored by the NeighborWorks® National Insurance Task Force (NITF). The symposium will take place Aug. 7 at 9 a.m. at the Hilton San Francisco.
Highlights of the symposium will include:
• Introduction of a water intrusion/mold prevention pilot, which will provide homeowner education on preventative measures against water intrusion that leads to household mold and provide grants and loans to low-income homeowners to make repairs and upgrades to their homes to guard against water intrusion.
• Release of NITF’s report and recommendations on their experience on the issues with insurance scoring.
There will also be a commercial lines panel discussion on insurance challenges faced in multifamily housing.
