Bertholon-Rowland Corp. (BR Corp.) announced its purchase of Travel Insurance Services (TIS) of Walnut Creek, Calif., an agency that has served the global travel community since 1973.
“This acquisition is an excellent strategic fit for us,” noted Alan Zink, president and CEO of BR Corp. As a separate division of BR Corp., TIS will retain its well-recognized identity and will continue with its current management, operations and culture. “TIS brings further diversification and expansion to BR Corp. in three important areas – additional product availability and expertise, an additional segment of the sponsored program and a location on the West Coast to complement our East Coast and Midwest operations.”
According to Ralph Davis, founder and president of TIS, “In joining forces with BR Corp., we become even stronger in our representation and services. It is clearly a win-win situation – with the ultimate winner being our valued customer and clients.”
Along with TIS and American Insurance Administrators, BR Corp. is comprised of two other operating companies: Bertholon-Rowland, a full-service broker/adminstrator serving the professional association market, and Broadway Premium Funding Corp., an insurance premium finance company.
