SAFECO Corp. has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to periodically sell up to $775 million in common and preferred stock, convertible stock and debt securities, contracts and units.
The Seattle-based company indicated it plans to use the proceeds from the shelf offering for general corporate purposes, that may include debt repayment and subsidiaries.
