The California Insurance Guarantee Association (CIGA) has signed a five year claim services contract with Kemper Services, according to Patricia A. Drago, president of Kemper Services.
“Our contract with CIGA is a big win for our service platform,” said Drago. “We were able to begin a partnership with them in 2000 when we began the claims handling of the Superior National business. We look forward to providing them with quality claims handling service into the future as we continue to build our relationship.”
In Oct. 2000, Kemper Services began handling claims for CIGA in conjunction with Kemper’s acquisition of the renewal rights of the former Superior National Insurance Group of Companies.
Kemper Services has continued to provide claim-handling services for CIGA in the runoff of former Superior National business after Kemper sold that operation to Argonaut last year.
