Steve Smailes (ssmailes@nisinsurance.com) has joined Woodland Hills, Calif.-based National Insurance Solutions as vice president of sales. Smailes is responsible for business development and marketing, carrier relations as well as developing and managing the sales force at NIS.
His business development and marketing responsibilities include identifying and soliciting potential business partners and strategic alliances. His sales force management responsibilities include the recruiting, hiring, training and management of the NIS sales force.
Smailes formerly served as Business Unit manager, Countrywide Insurance Services, where he was responsible for managing business unit profitability.
