Brown & Riding Insurance Services announced that Scott Carroll has joined the firm in the position of COO.
This new position was created in response to Brown & Riding’s continued rapid growth and plans for further expansion, including opening of additional offices. Carroll will work closely with President Chris A. Brown as COO, with an initial focus on strengthening broker support and client service through developing higher-skilled support personnel, better management, and more efficient systems and procedures. His work will also enable Brown to focus his efforts on developing long term strategies, as well as building and nurturing relationships with both clients and markets.
Prior to joining Brown & Riding, Carroll spent 16 years with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies in underwriting, administrative, and management roles. He began his career as an Underwriter in the Surety department, where he spent nine years in various underwriting and management positions throughout the United States. His subsequent experience at Chubb included Marketing Manager positions in both Seattle and Los Angeles, as well as Administrative Assistant to the Zone Officer in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for strategic and economic support of the Zone Officer in management of over 1000 people, $800,000,000 in premium and 11 profit centers through the western third of the United States. Carroll completed his career at Chubb as Chubb Custom Market’s first west coast branch manager. Under his leadership, the west coast branch’s managed premium increased 145 percent in two years.
