Mary King has joined Howard James/Burns & Wilcox as the Los Angeles office’s new branch manager. She is responsible for overseeing the continued development and growth of the branch and managing the financial operations, staff development and relationships with the company’s retail agents in the region.
Prior to joining the company, King served as senior vice president and branch manager for Swett & Crawford in Los Angeles. She was responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s Los Angeles operations. King has worked as a risk management consultant to businesses, public agencies and associations and has held management positions with insurance companies over her 27-year career in the industry.
King also serves as president of the Los Angeles chapter of CPCU and is past president of the Orange Empire chapter of CPCU. She also sits on the board of the California Insurance Wholesalers Association (CIWA).
