Torrance, Calif.-based ePolicy Solutions Inc., a provider of Web-based policy administration solutions that can reduce expenses and improve customer service, announced that Geoff Smith, CPCU, has been elected to its board of directors, and that William S. “Billy” McCarter has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer.
“These experienced insurance executives provide invaluable counsel to our customers and to the company,” said Lou Kwiker, president, chief executive officer and co-founder of ePolicy Solutions. “Their visionary leadership, practical execution and sense of urgency have contributed to successful bottom-line results for our customers, employees and shareholders.”
McCarter joined ePolicy Solutions in 2002 after serving as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and as regional CIO for Allianz of North America. He has been named by Insurance & Technology magazine as one of the industry’s top CIO’s.
Smith has served ePolicy Solutions in a variety of positions, including as executive vice president and chief operating officer, since joining the company soon after it was founded. He has expertise in the business insurance arena that comes from a 30-year career history with The Hartford Financial Services Group.
