I give congratulations to the Governor and the Legislators for successfully dealing with the problems and creating solutions during their special session.
Unfortunately, they were either myopic or the real issues were transparent when viewed in the light of real solutions.
When are our elected officials going to treat the cause of the problem rather than the symptoms? They spent many taxpayers dollars sending 6 additional students to college to become doctors, created some additional studies and provided low interest dollars for the poor doctors to be able to pay for their malpractice insurance premiums. Great solutions while at the same time not getting any mud on their shoes. Give me a break!
When are we going to have tort reform and solve the problem once and for all? I for one am going to remind my elected officials with my vote when they are up for election. I urge everyone to find out how their representatives have voted on the tort reform issues and then react accordingly.
