San Francisco-based Lockton Insurance Brokers, the nation’s largest independently owned insurance broker, has named Roger Whitley, vice president, Claims manager. He will be based in Lockton’s San Jose office.
Whitley has managed multi-line risk management and insurance claims advocacy and consulting operations for more than 25 years. In his most recent post, he focused on intellectual property and technology claims and was a national claims resource for one of the country’s largest insurance brokers. Prior to this experience, Whitley held the position of Vice President and Director for a national insurance broker where he developed claims consulting and operations for its Western Division.
In addition, he has also been responsible for casualty litigation and workers compensation hearing activities. In his new position, Whitley will be responsible for Lockton’s Claims Management operations in Northern California.
Commenting on his appointment, Russ Sands, chairman and CEO of Lockton San Francisco, said, “Roger is one of the most respected claims managers in the business. I am pleased that he has decided to join us and I know our clients will appreciate his depth of experience while addressing the need to manage complex claims.”
