Cordova Joins Compass Insurance Group’s New San Diego Office

Michael Heagerty, president and CEO of The Harry W. Gorst Co. and Compass Insurance Group of Agencies Inc., recently announced that the San Diego office of Compass is expanding. Rochelle D. Cordova, has joined the group as senior commercial lines underwriter/broker and will be working from the newly established San Diego office.

Her responsibilities will include building a profitable branch office in the San Diego area. She has taken on the tasks of marketing, quoting and binding commercial property & casualty business and managing the branch’s day-to-day operations.

Cordova began her insurance career in 1978 at the Hartford Ins. Company. At Capital Insurance Group, Cordova was a product development analyst for six years. When she decided to move back to the San Diego area, she accepted a position with Golden Eagle Ins. Co. as senior underwriter of managed programs. She moved to the wholesale side of the industry with London American General Insurance Agency where she spent another five years before coming to Compass.
