Our firm Intelligence Forensics, with offices in America, Greece and France assists persons in idenity theft recovery.

What we have found is a general trend as to the causes and the types of busineses responsible for the of information leaks.

Heading the list is your bank. This is a caused in large to the lack of internal controls. Second are firms like your credit card company and just behind that is your state government and credit reporting firms.

Down the list is a surprise. Your local or national pizza chain sells their list collected when you call in a delivery order. It is a very expensive list for people monitors to buy but does such things as gives away unlisted phone numbers and verifies you to an address.

We do not feel the scurry of actions against embarrased private and public officials in the people monitoring busines is a solution. There are real needs for firms to have information on people to in part verify idenity before a theft can become real. People sell themselves off as someone else to commit fraud.

Our finding and comments are issued in hopes of opening up a few more eyes to the fact that bad thing can happen to you by just living a normal life.

We at Intelligence Forensics of America, France and Greece and other members of the PPIAC have found choice Point information flawed. Decisions are made about you based onh this information so you should by all means check the content of your file.

Check your insurance policy for your numeriac score issued by Choice Point. If it is wrong it could cost you a lot in rate increases.

I am not sure I would buy insurance from a company that uses Choice Point to rate your insurance score.

When you provide your social security number to some one make sure their system hides the last four numbers.

If the firm makes a fuss take your business else where. You are the customer, and you rule.
