California residents are slowly adding up the number of earthquakes hitting on or off the coast of the Golden State during the month of June.
On Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a moderate quake of 5.3 hit an area from Los Angeles to San Diego along with counties to the east. Officials said there were no initial reports of damage or injuries.
Just last weekend, a 7.0 quake some 80 miles off the coast of Northern California resulted in a temporary tsunami warning being issued for up and down the west coast.
Thursday’s quake was reportedly centered close to Yucaipa in San Bernardino County.
