The Prime Insurance Syndicate Inc. has received approval to write surplus lines insurance business in the state of New Mexico effective as of Oct. 6.
Prime, which offers solutions for hard-to-place risks, will offer lines in New Mexico including commercial liability, commercial auto liability, commercial property, inland marine, garage services, health care services, personal lines and professional liability. With authorization in New Mexico, Prime now has authority to write surplus lines business in more than 42 U.S. states and territories.
“New Mexico is the latest of several states which have recently provided Prime with authorization to write surplus lines business,” said Rick Lindsey, president of Prime. “We look forward to working with New Mexico licensed brokers and agents to provide coverage for hard-to-place risks such as coverage for contractors, special events, bars, taverns, restaurants, offices, limos, tow trucks, auto dealers, nursing homes and assisted living centers, cosmetic medicine, midwives, and home and pet owners, just to name a few of the classes Prime writes.”
