Esmeralda Temores of Western Security Surplus Insurance Brokers, has won Hoffman Brown Co.’s Service Excellence Award for 2005 for her consistent servcie to the company. For the award, Hoffman Brown measured the quality of the support received from surplus lines brokers, wholesalers and insurance carriers with whom they write direct.
Temores began her insurance career at Western Security Surplus in Pasadena, Calif., as a policy typist – while she was attending school. After she earned her degree in political science, Richard Polizzi, president and CEO convinced her to stay on as an underwriter. Five years later, Temores is now a broker.
