Western Security Surplus Insurance Brokers Inc. based in Pasadena, Calif., has named Deanna Peyton to replace Rebecca Hill as vice president/branch manager at the Orange/San Diego county office located in Los Alamitos, Calif.
Peyton began her insurance career nearly 20 years ago at Transamerica. She has experience from both the carrier and the wholesale side of the insurance industry. While at American International Group she was regional underwriting manager in the environmental division and was instrumental in increasing written premium from $11 million to more than $40 million within the first two years. She left there to become assistant vice president and director of environmental risks for the environmental division at Royal SunAlliance Surplus Lines, where she was responsible for writing $14 million in new premium the first year.
