Willis Group Holdings Ltd., the global insurance broker, has appointed Arthur Christoffersen as Western Region Risk Solutions Practice Leader. He will be working out of offices in both Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
Christoffersen also will serve as a regional resource for the development of innovative, advanced risk financing programs for risk management clients. He has built a reputation as a leader in developing new risk transfer mechanisms that have emerged from the insurance industry for non-traditional commodity and financial risks such as the cost of raw materials or the economic impact of adverse weather.
Prior to joining Willis, Christoffersen was at Marsh and predecessor companies for more than 30 years. While at Marsh, he was instrumental in the formation of numerous parent-owned and industry captives. Additionally, he managed brokerage, loss control, and claims consulting practices servicing clients’ liability, workers compensation, directors and officers, malpractice and errors and omissions placements, worldwide.
