G.E. Young & Co. Hires Dekema as Business Development Director

Mike Dekema, of Kirkland, Wash., recently joined G.E. Young & Co., a third-party claims management company based in the Denver area, as director of business development. Dekema, who holds more than 34 years of experience in insurance, third-party claims management and marketing and business development, was brought on board to nurture and grow national accounts and to expand liability claims management services.

Dekema will serve G.E. Young & Co. from an office in Kirkland, Wash.

For more than 32 years, Dekema served Carl Warren & Co., a national provider of liability claim and litigation management services. During his tenure there, he held positions including branch manager, marketing director, technology leader and executive vice president and board member. As such, he worked closely with self-insurers and public entities, as well as brokers and consultants, nurturing clients including Apple Co., Hewlett Packard Co., Wild Oats Markets, ConAgra, McKesson and Bank of America. Most recently, Dekema has owned and operated Claimstream, a claims management consulting company.
