The Golden Gate Chapter of RIMS is hosting a session on the financial impact of various risk retention options on Thursday, May 18.
“The Dark Underbelly of Risk Retention Options: Collateral,” will focus on:
*Risk retention options;
*Forms of collateral; and
*Hybrid collateral mechanisms (the California Alternative Security Program).
The session also will explore issues relating to:
*The impact of multiple policy periods;
*How to avoid surprising your CFO;
*Surety & LOC’s – what you may not realize;
*Why carriers have separate credit risk departments; and
*How to negotiate collateral requirements more effectively.
Featured panelists will be Jeff Pettegrew, executive director of the California Self Insurers’ Security Fund, Jim Halbleib, executive vice president of Arthur J. Gallagher, and Guy Avagliano, principal and consulting actuaryof Milliman USA.
The seminar will be held at Park Hyatt, 333 Battery Street, San Francisco, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Cost is $40 pre-registered/$45 at door.
