Specialist international marine claims firm, Global Claims Management Ltd., will be opening a San Diego office and claims portal service on June 1.
The San Diego office will provide marine claims surveying and adjusting services throughout California, Mexico and the Pacific. Edgardo Lindain has been appointed principal surveyor at the office. Following a career at sea as a chief engineer, Lindain gained more than 20 years surveying and adjusting experience for major hull underwriters and P&I Clubs
Meanwhile, Global Claims Management Ltd., Global Claims & Co. and Global Claims & Co. LLC have created a web portal access to
electronic claims files for their clients.
“We are also delighted to offer our clients secure, electronic web portal access to their claims files. We are keenly aware that 117° West of Greenwich means a 9 hour time change between our London principals and our San Diego office,” Global’s Managing Director Nicholas Smith said. “Our portal will allow efficient exchange of information and assist our clients in all aspects of the claims
process not least in reporting to their regulators.”
