Colorado newspapers are reporting that Gov.-elect Bill Ritter has appointed Manitou Springs Mayor Marcy Morrison the state’s next insurance commissioner. Morrison will have to resign her position as Manitou Springs Mayor to assume the new role.
The state Senate is scheduled to vote on Ritter’s appointments in January.
