Actor Tom Sizemore Settles Lawsuit with State Farm

May 16, 2007

Actor Tom Sizemore has settled lawsuits brought against him by State Farm Insurance and his former girlfriend, one-time Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

Papers filed in Superior Court in California said that resolutions were reached in both cases.

The terms were not disclosed. A call to his attorney, Jeffrey Magwood, was not immediately returned.

In a lawsuit filed in 2004, Fleiss alleged she suffered emotional distress after the “Black Hawk Down” actor threatened to contact authorities to try to have her probation revoked. Fleiss also claimed Sizemore destroyed or gave away her furniture.

Sizemore was convicted in August 2003 of domestic violence involving Fleiss. He was on bail pending appeal of that case when he was arrested last week in Bakersfield for investigation of possession of methamphetamine, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

The 45-year-old actor was arrested after drugs were found in his car, police said.

Details of the second suit, filed against Sizemore in September 2004 by the State Farm General Insurance Co., were not immediately available.

Sizemore has appeared in the movies “Saving Private Ryan” and “Black Hawk Down.”
