WIAA Announces New Board

The Western Insurance Agents Association (WIAA), an agent/broker associations in the West, has announced a new slate of board members and officers for the 2007-2008 term. The previous term’s Chairman-elect, Kathy McDonald of Henderson, Nev.-based Watkin Insurance Group, is assuming new responsibilities as board chairman. The 15-person board includes two new directors. They are:

*Chairman Kathy McDonald, of Watkin Insurance Group in Henderson, Nev.;

*Chairman-Elect Phil Hakopian of Cornerstone Commercial and Personal Insurance Services of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.;

*Vice Chairman Neal Stanley of United Valley Insurance Services Inc. in Fresno, Calif.;

*Secretary/Treasurer Carol Connors of Ck Specialty Insurance Association Inc. in Morgan Hill, Calif.;

*Executive Vice President/COO Ken Nigohosian, who will be working with the board on new and ongoing initiatives; and

*Directors: Jack Galloway of Barney & Barney LLC in San Diego; Richard Franko of Citywide Insurance in Phoenix; Jeff Barnett of Mackie Insurance Brokerage in Elk Dorado Hills, Calif.; Steve Harrington of Harrington Insurance in San Jose, Calif.; Tony Napoli of Napoli Insurance in Mission Hills, Calif.; Marty Fox of Clovis Insurance Services in Clovis, Calif.; and Tom Powell of Cal-Valley Insurance Services in Fresno, Calif.

WIAA offers membership to agents and brokers in California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.
