Okay… I’ll start by qualifying the following with a disclaimer: I do not believe all racism is phony… clearly there are back-water, inbred, uneducated individuals living about 200 years ago in a van down by the river more than willing to don the ol’ white sheet, light a cross wrapped in toilet paper, and sing The Battlehymn of the Republic. Moving on…
Racism is dead. Capitalism lives.
If you’re the most qualified individual for a job and a company passes you over because you’re “African” (or Arab, Asian, Gay, Pagan, or Martian) they deserve to fail – miserably – and they likely will.
If your house or business is torched by one of these people smart enough to figure out a Zippo, I’m truly sorry.
On the other hand (Blacks, Muslims, Martians) who don’t speak out – and act out – against those hijacking your demographic and supporting the sterotypes “the man” rallys around… you’re as culpable and those who do the deeds.
Quit it with the race card… you’re not being a victim anymore, you’re just supporting the sterotype and furthering the prejudice that does exist. Instead of trying to take advantage of the prejudice… OVERCOME IT AND PROVE IT WRONG! Otherwise you’re no better than someone who burns down their own business and blames “discrimination”.
Maybe you haven’t heard the story of the Jenna 6 in Jenna, Louisiana. Blacks across the country are marching on Sept 20th against the unlawful sentencing of a young black male accused of attempted murder for defending himself last September against a white student. Why don’t you goggle the article and read all of the sordid details for yourself.
It’s nice that you say to stand up against stereotypes but then on the other hand the majority will still find something to quibble about you feel it’s a bunch of rabble-rousers keeping up mess. And then Al Sharpton and other “uppity negroes” like him are going to be there too…God forbid should Al and others like him speak for Blacks. Oh that gets some people (you know who I am referring to) soooooooooooooo upset.
Al Sharpton is a fraud and charlatan and does not represent me or any other of my friends. Most of my friends consider him an embarrassment to all Americans of African desent.
