John Miller, chief executive officer of Lawson-Hawks Insurance Associates announced the recent addition of Michael Ludt of Irvine, Calif., as a broker for the Healthcare/Medical Malpractice Division for the Mountain View-based insurance intermediary and broker.
“With our sustained growth in the healthcare and medical malpractice marketplace, the addition of someone with Mr. Ludt’s background, experience and industry knowledge is an invaluable acquisition for both our clients and the company itself,” said Miller. “Lawson-Hawks has continued to increase its substantial market share in the healthcare services sector, serving individual doctors, clinical practice groups and hospitals. Adding a heavyweight like Mike in Southern California further expands our consultative and servicing capabilities in this very formidable market. The fact that Mike comes to us with authoritative credentials in the healthcare sector and is based in Irvine provides our thousands of Southern California clients with a more accessible advisor and broker.”
Ludt has more than eleven years experience in providing customized professional coverages for the healthcare industry. Previously, he was affiliated with Madison Health Care, Inc. as a vice president of business development and before that Ludt was a co-founder in Stop Loss Insurance Brokers Inc., both Southern California-based healthcare oriented insurance brokerages.
“I’m truly delighted to be affiliated with a customer-centric advisory organization like Lawson-Hawks,” said Ludt. “While my primary responsibilities include counseling individual doctors and clinical practice groups on risk management and exposure issues, I wanted a very experienced team of servicing professionals to proactively address the needs of my clients.”
Ludt has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Marketing from Belford University.
