“I’m different. I’m special. I DEMAND special treatment, and i’m gonna shove your nose in it. And if you don’t agree with me, then you’re just a great big greenie MEANIE.”

To the Gay, lesbian, Transgendered, Bisexual and moose afficianados: Look, folks, stop, for God’s sake, being victims and show some discretion in your private affairs.

So it was ok to fire the guy for marrying his partner? I mean, he is the best worker I have, but he’s gay! I can’t have that! Come on, how stupid is that? If it takes a law to protect a certain class of people, how is that playing the victim? If there is no other recourse, how is that playing the victim? As long as it doesn’t affect the work, I don’t see where people’s private lives make a difference. I guess this makes me a whiny bleeding heart….

The marriage? When I was married everyone wanted to know, who, when, honeymoon, etc. I could see where this would easily come up. If it came up that way, I say the employer is wrong to fire, unless they fire everyone who talks about their wedding. Now if he is talking about his exploits, etc at work, that is a different story.
