San Jose-based Thoits Insurance Service, Inc., announces that Kathy Vowles has joined the company as vice president. Vowles brings 18 years of insurance industry experience to Thoits.
Vowles started her insurance career as a claims adjuster. She quickly moved on to selling personal insurance through the California State Automobile Association, where she was consistently in the top 5 percent of agents in California, Nevada and Utah. After seven years with CSAA, Vowles moved on to a commercial sales executive position. In the past 10 years she has worked in many facets of the insurance industry with several brokerages, including selling professional liability policies to CPAs across the country.
Don Way, chairman of Thoits, said, “We are thrilled to have someone of Kathy’s demonstrated integrity and expertise join our growing firm.”
Thoits Insurance was founded in 1891 and is 100 percent employee owned.
