Chatsworth, Calif.-based The Harry W. Gorst Co. recently announced the new hire of Megan Wicks as senior transportation underwriter to work in the Mission Viejo/Orange County, Calif., office.
A recent transplant from the state of Washington, Wicks has 16 years experience from Pacific International Underwriters Inc. in Edmonds, Wash. After graduating from the University of Washington, Wicks began her insurance career in 1991 as a file clerk and worked her way into the position of transportation underwriting manager.
According to Bryan Clark, senior vice president/underwriting, “Expanding our lines to include more transportation has been one of our goals for 2008.”
