    Doing business in that state is like working with one big messed-up union.

    I don’t have the answer, but like the Supreme Court I’ll know it when I see it – and this isn’t it.

    You can thank the tort lawyers, employees who file fraudulent claims and doctors, in that order for the mess California WC is in. Somewhere, not far behind, is the lack of testicular fortitude on the part of California legistlatures to put any teeth in the statutory WC laws. Let’s not even get into the illegal alien problem.

    WC has become a scourge in this country. It creates an incentive to allege an injury as the “compensation” usually equals or exceeds what these morons make. Used to be an embarassment to have to make a WC claim. Nowdays it’s become vogue.
