Matthew Shiroma has been promoted to program manager of the newly created contracts and purchasing department for California State Compensation Insurance Fund. The department oversees the purchasing of capital equipment, contracting for services, and contract management and administration.
Shiroma joined State Fund’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco when he was hired as a personnel services consultant in 1993. In 1999, he was promoted to senior systems consultant, where he was a web-development trainer and Windows server administrator. In 2003 he joined Information Technology, when he was appointed data processing manager II where he managed the maintenance and support of mission-critical function teams.
