Here’s a novel thought; don’t serve alcohol at a county fair. It’s totally uncessary at a family-oriented function anyway. Problem solved.
One needs GL and Liquor Liability at limits of one million (not just GL)
A source is the Nuccio Agency in California with insurance on Nationwide
pup company paper. One policy can cover an event with up to 10,000 guests
over a period not to exceed 10 days and has a cost of about $ 200.00 (and one can
list the county as an ANI)
How is this a big deal? I have quite a few clients that own property they rent out for parties, weddings, etc. They all require from every renter $1mm liability policy. If alchohol will be served, liquor liab coverage needs to be specifically covered.
It is more strange that a anyone (even a local municipality) would not already require such coverage.
And the cost for the coverage is cheap.
