Now that we have a budget you can see what goes into crafting it and all the intricacies involved with the California Budget Challenge. The nonpartisan Challenge allows you to create your own version of the state budget so you can experience all of the trade-offs involved. It’s a great way to learn more about the budget itself as well as the budget-making process. Try it! http://www.next10.org/challenge

would anyone continue to live in California when right next door (Nevada) there’s a state with zero state income taxes?

cause we like the diversity the state offers…ocean, mountains etc…
I find Nevada and its desert boring…but have to tell you that I am considering other areas lately….starting to be tempted.

If Nevada is so great, why is it the only state that our government has nuked?

Come to Nevada, our lizards glow in the dark!

Uh, Cal….. wasn’t that about 50 years ago. At least Nevada doesn’t have hurricanes. I understand that the desert lifestyle is an acquired taste but I’ve already lived in Palm Springs for 8 years. I’ll deal with it to avoid the usury taxes in California. My current state income tax is enough to support the receptionist at my office. Trust me, I’d rather give it to her than Don Perotta.

Guess the California governor will not veto Senator Menendez push once again, for drivers licenses for illegal lawbreakers.
Because both Senator Obama and McCain will have a ‘Catch 22’ situation. Either potential President is going to try and force through an AMNESTY for the 13 to 30 million illegal immigrants squatting in this nation. Our sovereignty has almost become valueless by mainly Democrats, although Republicans have some blame to bare. Even though a path to citizenship will be on the agenda, that doesn’t necessary mean it will pass? Public outcry, disgust and your phone calls and faxes will jam the new administrations switchboards. It will be a monolithic obstacle, along with anti-illegal immigrant Representatives and Senators who will fight for our jobs and a children’s futures. http://www.numbersusa.com have the uncensored truth?
