California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner announced that Heather Lambert will serve as deputy insurance commissioner for community relations.
Lambert previously served as external affairs coordinator in the Office of Governor Schwarzenegger, where she worked as a liaison between the public safety, business, education and local government communities. he also served as deputy appointments secretary for Governor Schwarzenegger. During her tenure, Lambert’s portfolio included the Department of Consumer Affairs, Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, Department of Homeland Security, Office of Emergency Services, Office of the Inspector General, Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of the Inspector General, California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, California National Guard, Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission, California Service Corps, California Arts Council, Fair Boards, California Lottery and the California Gambling Control Commission. Lambert most recently served as the deputy director for corporate communications at the California Lottery.
