San Diego-based Barney & Barney LLC, a privately-held insurance brokerage, was named one of San Diego’s “Best Places to Work” in the Large Business Category in a local business newspaper’s awards program.
The award rankings were based largely on the results of anonymous employee surveys that assessed how associates feel with regard to leadership; communication; work environment; training and development; benefits and pay; and more.
“This is a great honor, and we’re thrilled. As an owner of the company, of course I believe that we’re doing things right and that our associates enjoy the work they do – and it’s nice to get real validation of that from our associates. Nearly all of our associates took the anonymous survey, so we’re very proud of the results,” said Paul Hering, managing principal and CEO of Barney & Barney.
