EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center), a retail property, casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage, has appointed Jeff Parkhurst as principal in its San Francisco office.
Parkhurst brings 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in construction underwriting, bonding and client production and management. His responsibilities will include acquiring new construction clients and leading the development and management of the company’s risk management, insurance and surety programs.
Prior to joining EPIC, Parkhurst was most recently a vice president with Woodruff Sawyer & Co., where he worked as a producer and account executive. Prior to his brokerage career, Parkhurst was an assistant bond manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., underwriting surety programs for construction clients in 13 of the western United States as well as in western Canada. He started his career with Reliance Surety Co., now Traveler’s Co. Inc., as a field underwriter in the construction and timber sectors.
