The National Hurricane Center has downgraded Felicia, which was a hurricane headed toward Hawaii last week, to a tropical storm. A tropical storm watch remains in effect for the islands of Oahu, Hawaii, Maui, Kahoolawe, Lania nad Molokai, sparing Kaui.
Sustained winds are currently 50 mph and the storm is moving to the west at 10 mph. Felicia is expected to arrive at or near the island of Oahu on late Tuesday. Local Forecasters say flooding from heavy rains is still possible
NOAA said if Felicia does not weaken to a tropical depression later today, a tropical storm warning may be required for portions of hte watch area.
