The Buckner Company has hired J. Bart Laybourne, an insurance professional with more than 20 years experience, to their Ogden, Utah, location.
Laybourne has served the Ogden community for the past 20 years both through his work as an insurance professional and as a volunteer on various boards and committees, most recently as Chairman for the Utah Business Employers Team (UBET) for five years. He was also recognized by the Utah Governor’s Committee for People with Disabilities with the ACE Award in 2007 for his efforts to achieve equal employment opportunities for Utahns with disabilities.
Laybourne, who has family roots in Ogden, began his insurance career in 1982 with a family-owned agency selling personal home and auto insurance. He advanced into selling Property and Casualty policies, and has been working in the commercial business insurance ever since.
According to a Buckner announcement, Laybourne’s clients describe him as a responsive, friendly insurance professional who has a keen attention to detail.
Laybourne said that Buckner’s reputation in the community helped solidify his decision to become a member of the team. “I am extremely impressed with the image of Buckner as a professional and outstanding organization, and I look forward to being a part of the Ogden team.”
In addition to attracting Laybourne to the company, Buckner has also hired an additional business insurance associate, Kyle Payne, and two account managers to handle the new business.
