Byron has a personal touch? Torry I can see offering that personal touch but Byron? You gotta have sales though to have customer service & it is a tough time to get into the market. Byron is a pro & well respected in the industry so I’m sure he has something up his sleave.
It is interesting though for Stonewood…although I don’t think Stonewood offers the Protection program & I believe that’s what Byron is selling.
So I’m wondering why Commerce West(the top secret carrier) decided to partner with an upstart GA without any sort of track record (other than employee experience)? Curious if Byron and Torry know that the backend processing system they are buying is sold by a VP who formly tanked his own GA in Florida. Also curious what is meant by….with the aim of servicing “the needs of the broker community, with a personal touch that is missing in today’s marketplace,” What exactly is missing? Sounds all pretty in a press release. But it will be interestiing to see how much business “personal touch” will get if you’re not the lowest price. Best of luck Byron and Torry and welcome to reality auto insurance.
Another GA with another auto program that we dont need. Byron has the personality of a wiffle ball. Hopefully this job will laster longer than a year. Bring me clients not another useless market. Next stop: Micky D’s manager
As agencies close doors why do I need a market from these fellows that have never produced a policy. I am wondering how this program will work in Norcal. To much competition with no customers. I give these batboys a year at most. Good luck and may God Bless you will need it!
Well to all of you who don’t have a clue and understand what is going on in the market today, it is likely you will be in the same place you are today, or worse in the next 5 years! For the love of god get a clue. We support ClearSide or any other company who shares their ideals.
How ironic…an unclear message on behalf of ClearSide. Have no idea what you are saying here. Try simple english and your point may be well taken or at least understood.
Byron/Torry – with bats like yours, wiffle balls don’t stand a chance. If I lived in “NoCal” I’d be your bat girl. I’d wish you luck with your new venture, but based on what I know about you two, you don’t need me to.
“Artie” if you are interested in our organization you can contact me directly @ 888-859-1181 ext 101 and I will provide you with our value proposition. Thanks for your inquiry and interest in ClearSide General.
Atkinson’s attitude is why SOME agents have closed their doors, by selling CHEAP, they are perpetuating this problem. Carriers then have no choice but to lower their rates to appease agents like Atkinson. Instead, these types of agents hire cheap low-end CSR’s/ Agents who can’t count pass 10. Hire top sales minded people, diversify your business model if not, you WILL close shop. So don’t blame the carriers or anyone else, blame your own ignorance. These types of agents will go away and allow those that can manage change to survive.
I heard they let their rep go does anybody know why. If they are already cutting expenses that is a bad signe.
interesting the one person called them batboys. they could have said rookies or minor leaguers which means they might have a chance to play in the big leagues but they said batboys. In the DR batboys did bat duty because they couldn’t play the game.
“Pablo” – Of course I cannot get into specifics about any employee but I can assure you ClearSide is doing great! We continue to grow and knock on wood our LR is trending profitably, which is not easy in today’s market. The support of our loyal producers has and continues to be the main reason for our success. As always I can be reached @ 909-243-7540. Thanks for your interest and concern “Pablo”
This company needs to screen its brokers better I just got a new insurance policy through -cost u less insurance-. they told me there wasnt a broker fee and quoted me a price for basic liability. Sounded great, went through the process online, the agent that was assisting me, Lenardo Guimoy, rushed me through the agreements and contract, raised the rate, didn’t tell me about the broker fee until the end and threw it in casually, he did not tell me it was not refundable. Then he raised the rate he had last quoted me again!
After all was said and done I was left reeling regretting the entire thing called them right back and was told that I cant cancel and get my money back it was to late (it had been less that 15 minutes) and that I was out the broker fee and a $50 cancellation fee! WTF??!! Asked to talk to the manager never gave me his name, and got on the phone with attitude, I did’nt even get the chance to tell him what had happened and he was cutting me off telling me that the broker fee is nonrefundable and that he’s not going to help me. I said I would be more than happy to pay the $50 cancellation fee if he would let me out of the broker fee, $50 for 15 min of their time. He says “I’m not going to do that for you” Then interrupted me every time I tried to talk, he was practically yelling at me, so unprofessional. Watch out for these guys they are looking to screw people over.
Curious to see how Commerce West manages both this relationship as well as that with Stonewood.

I thought I had a better personality than a wiffle ball so I’m gonna have to work on that one…
Bat boys? I’m sure Torry would love that but I’d rather do something more challenging, like a low rent Caddy perhaps.
Well we certainly appreciate the well wishes and will do our best to prove the others wrong!
Thanks for your comments.

Hmmm what exactly do you bring to the table? I don’t get it.

Actually, my comment was meant for Curious George and those like him.
It’s “can’t count PAST 10” not PASS 10. Maybe you are the problem?
