Oakland, Calif.-based catastrophe risk modeling firm EQECAT Inc. announced that Marian Szefler has joined the company as senior vice president of software architecture. Szefler will manage the overall re-architecture project and help to enhance further the current product development processes and procedures to ensure that quality releases are delivered on time.
Prior to joining EQECAT, Szefler served as senior vice president of software development for another leading catastrophe modeling firm, where he was responsible for the overall product development, quality assurance and release management organizations. He has 20-plus years of international experience in management of software development.
