San Francisco-based Heffernan Insurance Brokers has named Allison Parshall the new manager of InsureMyEquipment.com. This online insurance product is designed to streamline the previously time-consuming, manual process of providing rental insurance to the production industry.
Camera operators, lighting stage hands and sound technicians must show a certificate of insurance before they can rent equipment for their next gig at rental houses.
“People tend to wait until the last minute to get the paperwork they need and InsureMyEquipment.com is a legitimate and fast way for them to obtain it,” explained Jeff Jackson, floor manager at Birns and Sawyer in Hollywood.
Parshall is an account manager assistant and has worked at the Orange County, Calif., branch of Heffernan for the past three years.
