EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center) has added Cheryl Downey as a senior vice president in its San Ramon, Calif.-based Programs Group. She has more than 25 years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance with a specialty in hospitality industry group insurance program development and management.
Downey was the principal architect of a successful group insurance program for pizza restaurants, including independents, chains and large franchise organizations across the United States. Under her direction and leadership, the program has grown to more than $16 million in premiums since the program was founded 22 years ago. She is known and acknowledged nationally as an industry leader in pizza delivery insurance programs.
Downey will continue to focus on the risk management and insurance needs of the pizza restaurant business as a part of the EPIC Programs Group, including the acquisition of new clients and expanding the Programs Group’s hospitality industry resources.
