State Auto’s Western Region promoted Kathy Alvord and added Linnea Macier in Arizona.
Alvord was promoted to business insurance underwriter reporting to Brad Timmerman, sales manager for the Arizona, Colorado and Utah markets. Her career began in 1984 with CNA as a rater. She advanced to underwriting roles with USF&G, Royal Insurance Co. and AIG.
In 2006 Alvord joined State Auto Middle Markets (SAMMI) as an underwriting technician. Due to her strong performance record, she has been promoted and will play a key role in our business insurance profitable growth plans.
Macier, an insurance veteran with 25 years of industry experience, joins State Auto as a personal lines sales representative supporting independent agencies in the Phoenix area, as well as central and northern Arizona.
She has the benefit of independent agency and carrier experience serving in sales, marketing and product development roles with well recognized insurance companies in the western and southern United States. Prior to joining State Auto, Macier was a territory and state expansion manager for Bankers Insurance Group.
