Lawson-Hawks Names Stege VP in Employee Benefits Division

Mountain View, Calif.-based Lawson-Hawks Insurance Associates, has added John Stege of Aptos, Calif., as a vice president and broker for the Employee Benefits Division.

Stege has more than 11 years experience in providing customized professional third-party administration services in the group insurance and employee health and welfare plan marketplace. Initially responsible for the recruitment of municipalities, school districts and other joint powers authorities in California, Stege rose to the levels of director of sales and vice president of sales with Superior Administrators Inc., a Santa Ana, Calif.-based TPA. While at Superior Administrators, he assumed company-wide responsibility for all sales activities relating to group insurance and health plans for medical, dental, vision and life insurance plans nationwide.

Subsequently, Stege was recruited to a new start-up community bank in the San Francisco Bay area. At Global Trust Bank, he was responsible for all new business development as the bank grew in both asset size and customer base.
