The Board of Governors of Emergency Physicians Insurance Company (EPIC), a California-based medical professional liability insurance provider, has elected Graham Billingham president and CEO.
Billingham is a 25-year veteran emergency physician and has been with EPIC for six years. He most recently served as executive vice president and chief medical officer.
Billingham succeeds Bill Montei, who served as interim president and COO from April 2009 to September 2010, and continues to serve as COO through December 2010.
Prior to joining EPIC, Billingham was chief medical officer for a large practice management group of 400 clinicians and more than 1 million patient visits annually.He is the founding chairman and medical director of the Emergency Medicine Patient Safety Foundation (EMPSF).
