Don’t teens and those under 25 have the most accidents. Why not be as strict with them?

First year young drivers average one accident their first year. Some teens will have zero acc. but the other teens will have two given the average of one. Very seldom will you find a driver 75yrs or over involved in an alcohol related accident. The majority our small fender benders. I feel all drivers should be tested for DEPTH PERCEPTION. Their is a high percentage of the driving population out there who have poor dept perception. You are either born with good DP or not . It is like color blindness.

I will emulate a certain portion of the population and drive without a license if they take it away from me – that is if I live to that age!

Impaired driving is impaired driving no matter if the impairment is booze, drugs or age. Testing is a simple way to identify age impairment. I am 73 so this is not a finger pointing at someone else. We need to be tested for our own good as well as the well being of others on the road.

Have the elder take a drivers test every 3 years. No everyone is
alike. The ones that don’t drink or use drugs should be given
extra considerations. How many accidents, traffic violations in
past 3yrs. A standard letter could be given by a doctor seen every
6 months or so. Some medical conditions require doctors exams.

Maybe in this state, a law could be enacted that would prevent
anyone from getting a license until they graduate from HS.

But we probably have a great of number who never had testing
    done in this country.

Why penalize law abiding citizens who don’t have accidents or
speeding or red light violations? Most elderly drive 35MPH.

I’ve been wearing glasses since 7 yrs old. States so on license.

Just because 3-4 people can’t read the chart, we shouldn’t have
to be checked every 1-2 yrs.
