L/B/W Insurance & Financial Services Inc. has acquired neighboring independent agency Fortman Insurance. In the arrangement, all Fortman staff members were retained and moved to the Valencia, Calif., offices of L/B/W.
John Fortman now heads the Personal Lines division for L/B/W while also serving as an account executive on the Commercial Lines team. Mary Fortman-Boales is the newest account manager within the Personal Lines team, and Lucia Medina is an account manager in the Commercial Lines division.
Mitzi Like, CEO of L/B/W said her company’s Personal Lines division was one of the smaller units of L/B/W, and this acquisition doubles that.
L/B/W was founded in 1922 and now will offer Personal and Commercial Insurance, Financial Planning, Retirement Plans such as 401(K) and 403(B), Life and Disability Insurance, Group Health and Dental plans, and Long Term Care Insurance.
