IMA Benefits, the benefits practice for retail insurance broker IMA Inc., announced that Tracy McConnell and John Kirke were promoted to director of health innovation. Additionally, Dale Curtis was promoted to director of voluntary benefits and ERISA compliance. and Cathy Sims, vice president of employee benefits in IMA’s Denver office, was elevated to also serve as vice president of benefits for IMA’s Dallas office as IMA Benefits concentrates its focus on employee benefits in Texas.
McConnell joined IMA in 2008 as a benefits practice leader. He brings 19 years of health and welfare experience, having served as both an underwriter and benefits consultant.
Kirke joined IMA in 2006 as a senior consultant in integrated healthcare and benefits management, where he coordinated and deployed IMA’s resources to meet and exceed the health management and benefit expectations of clients. He brings 20 years of insurance experience with an emphasis in healthcare risks and employee benefits.
Curtis joined IMA in 2004 in a business development role. He coordinated client services for several nonprofit organizations, financial institutions, manufacturers, physician groups, retail and hospitality clients.
Sims joined IMA in 2004 and has overall responsibility for IMA Benefits in Denver and Dallas. In recent months, she has given numerous presentations on the topic of health care reform and strategies related to the quickly changing employee benefits landscape.
