Carol Connors of Ck Specialty Insurance Associates based in San Jose, Calif., was installed as chairman of Western Insurance Agents Association for the 2011-2013 during the association’s annual business meeting held last month.
Ms. Connors said she is looking forward to her new role, “working with my colleagues and utilizing our collective knowledge and insight to continue strengthening the association.”
As one of her first duties after taking the gavel, Ms. Connors presented a distinguished service award to her predecessor, Phil Hakopian of Cornerstone Commercial & Personal Insurance Services, in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
New to the WIAA Board, filling a Director position, is Cynthia Churney of Churney Insurance Agency, Orange, Calif., a broker with more than 28 years of property & casualty experience.
